17-18 August 2007
We had a mini vacation @ PD just to ease our minds from all the stress and depression of losing someone we deeply love. Vacationing did not mean we had forgotten about him, but only needed to get away from the sorrowness and out of the house for a while.
Lepak at Teluk Kemang watching sunset

Kenyir quickie

date : 6th June 2007
A short business trip as my hubby's boss asked him to take some stuff at the Kenyir station.Decided to follow him mainly to test out the new camera Sony DSLR that I just bought at the time huhu.. Quite an express trip as we went on Tuesday night (5th June) and back by Wednesday night (6th June). Tiring yet fun and adventurous..
started our journey tuesday night after dinner bout 8.30pm.. and reached Kuala Berang at around 3am, switching drivers midway. couldn't find any hotels so we went to KT and still couldn't even get a room.. prolly due to skool holidays, at last managed to find a 'cap ayam' hotel at close to 5am.. by the time we were too tired to care..
Woke up after a few hours of sleep.. didn't waste time and headed to Pasar Payang for breakfast and some shopping, then headed straight to the Kenyir Dam. After a short visit and a few shots (the weather as too hot that day), Bai sent me to Cikgu Ros' house so I can rest and makan2.. yahoo.. Ros took me tu Kuala Berang town (quite a small town), jalan2 for a while and headed back.. dunno wat to buy there, and she said I missed the morning market which has lots of stuff and food.. tak pe la.. Bai call on his way back to fetch me.. we rushed back just in time.. huhu.. said our goodbyes and ciao..
On the way back stopped at a beach (forgot the name), to test our shots.. not used to the camera yet, so we had to use flash to capture some light.. quite embarassing but then who cares.. no knowledge to play around with shutter and apperture yet, so some photos were blurry / dark / too bright...
Had dinner with bai's friend and then we headed home.. Reached home about 2am, zzZZzzz and took half day the next day.. hehe

Venue : Chenderoh Dam - Kuala Kangsar
Normally people who take part in adventure races would feel satisfied just by completing the races, let alone win. But that didn't happen to me and my hubby, and most of the other teams who took part in this particular race. Post race, ramai cakap2 blakang tak puas ati.. reason dia 2 je : rafting merepek sangat sampai 3-4 jam, and management berterabur.
The disciplines :
Run 2 km - fine, warm up ni, org lain pecut kitorang rilek2 je
Swim 100m - fine even though current was quite strong and ada gak terhanyut skek, seb baik aku ikat prussik kat life vest Bai, kalau tak mau tersasar jauh tu
Trekking dalam sejam : fine (but a bit too short as complained by hubby - fine by me.. hehe mane larat nak lari masa mencanak beb)
River scrambling - so-so la tapi byk pacat (complaint from Bai again..manyak tol complain)
Orienteering - senang je sebab yg basic2 je
Rafting - built our own raft which was interesting coz we got to learn new stuff, then came the rafting part, 21km, dorang estimate 3 jam lebih, kitorang buat 4 jam. Even 3 jam was a bit ridiculous already, dah mcm pegi xpdc sg perak la plak.. sume orang depada semangat terus pewai, siap ade group depan aku dah main2 benti kat tepi lepak2 dulu.. wonder what happened to the team from France, masa kitorang potong, their raft can only permit 1 guy to sit and the other had to float - kesian. Bai daripada cramp tangan dia terus baik sendiri pon tak sampai2 lagi, gilos
Run lagi - dah takde mood dah nak continue tapi for the sake of habiskan race, lari gak la pg Karai town amik beskal
Cycling - ade la dalam 7km onroad, 8km offroad - skali lagi mendapat komplen dari Bai sebab kejap sangat dah abih, bagi aku yg tak berapa terel cycling ni pon kejap sangat onroad dia.. offroad kat ladang kelapa sawit, sempat jugak la aku mendapat penangan ladang tu, tgh downhill tergolek, abih dagu pecah, lutut ngn siku kiri kanan luka.. benti jap tapi aku dah fobia skek aa masa ni.. turun downhill pon slow2 jek.. sampai masuk onroad balik baru la laju skek.
Mystery test - buat labu sayung mini rupanya pakai machine dia.. tak reti aku, soh bai buat la.. bleh aku recover skek daripada injuries sesambil tu.
Lari lagi - lari naik jambatan utk ropework session
Abseiling 40 meter terus masuk sungai - terjumpa team padil ngn team bett kat situ, dorang tak complete sebab kene tipu ngn marshall.. tambah bengang lagi.. iskk
Swim ke tebing & lari terus ke finishing line
Kitorang sampai kol 4++pm. First team sampai kol 2. Majority yg menang bebudak rowing. Race ni mmg advantage kat dorang this time. tapi tak kisah sebab race lain pon dak2 ni jugak yg menang.. muka2 sama je.. keke dorang mmg power
Sad part is, after the prize giving ceremony, the organizer terus lepas tangan, the lorry who transported our bikes had gone missing as well. We had to carry our bikes into the bus, sempit giler, teruk tol. Nak save budget atau nak untung lebih?
Overall experience - hmm good experience to know that we can have bad races sometimes
* bak kate ada sorang marshall tu - dak2 ni masa register sampai lambat, bile race pon lambat (kitorang la tu) hehehe

2nd honeymoon - Langkawi trip (10th - 12th March 2007)

Ni baru betol2 punya honeymoon.. Pegi round satu pulau Langkawi tu.. abih kawasan darat ngn kawasan air sume dah conquer kecuali area Pulau Tuba ngn Pulau Payar, tu pon sebab tak cukup bajet dah.

Stayed at : Tok Senik Resort, Ulu Melaka (sponsored by mak aku huhu)
Jumaat 9 Mac
12.00 tgh mlm - naik bas ke Alor Star. memula nak g kuala perlis tapi takde bas lak.. katebang lak mahal ari sabtu..
Sabtu 10 Mac
6.00am - sampai Alor Star bas stop. gosok gigi, smayang subuh terus carik teksi sapu ke jetty Kuala Kedah. Fee dalam rm18, ok la kot.
6.50am - sampai Jetty Kuala Kedah. amik feri kol 8.00am- first ferry dalam kol 7.30am kot. Harga - RM18 sorang. Book kete sewa terus kat agent kat jetty tu. Kete Iswara dapat rm60 sehari. Kalau nak gamble carik kete sewa kat pulau pon bleh tapi sebab cuti skolah malas nak gamble.
8.00 - 9.45am - Journey naik ferry ke pulau. Pergh sempat gak la muntah se-round. Tak tahan siot dah la stuffy ferry dia pastu terombang ambing.. kene gelak ngn bai blom honeymoon dah muntah2.. cess
10.00am - sampai jetty. weng kejap. muka pewai gile, naik gunung pon tak pewai camni. dah turun jetty pon terasa cam tak balance rasa terombang-ambing lagi.
10.30am - makan KFC jap kasi ilang loya, hehe
11.00am - jumpa kawan agen kete sewa tu. amik kete Iswara, kitorang nak kancil tapi abis lak.
11.30am - journey begins. Start ikot map langkawi, drive ke Air Hangat Village, singgah jap masuk tgk kolam air panas tapi tak berapa best. pastu terus lalu Pekan Kuah. Singgah byk pantai lepak2 amik2 gambar jek - Pantai Pasir Tengkorak, Pantai Pasir Hitam, Tanjung Rhu, Air Terjun Temurun yg kering kontang. Pastu jalan lagi ke Datai Bay tapi tak leh masuk, org tu kasi lalu je dalam hotel dia.. cun tapi satu malam rm1500.. huhu.
3.00pm - check in kat Kg Tok Senik Resort. Resort yg jauh dari laut tapi cam hutan style, best gak. Opposite dia Crocodile farm kalau sapa nak g tgk boya.
5.30pm - Pegi Gunung Mat Cincang naik cable car. Gayat gak cable car, gayat lagi jalan kat jambatang tergantung dia tu.. best. lepak sini sampai dekat Maghrib. Nampak dari atas Telaga Tujuh pon kontang, musim panas.
7.30pm - Pegi makan seafood kat area2 kampung. Murah n fresh..
9.30pm - On the way balik, minyak abih. huhu kete tersadai tepi jalan kat sebelah Hotel Langkasuka. terpaksa la Bai pinjam motor pak guard hotel tu pegi beli minyak, aku lak lepak kat hotel sampai telelap2
10.15pm - dah setel, ingat nak jalan2 pantai cenang tapi dah ngantok, singgah kejap je tgk2 pastu balik Zzzzz
Ahad 11 mac
9.00am - Dah terpacak kat jetty Hotel Awana nak g island hopping yahoo..
9.30am - start naik bot - first destination : Pulau Dayang Bunting dalam 20 minit.
10.00am - Sampai Pulau Dayang Bunting, dia kasi lepak sejam.. main kayak round pulau tu stengah jam, pastu mandi2 lagi stengah jam, best air dia tak masin.. cam air tasik, tasik kat tgh2 laut..
11.00am - next destination - eagle feeding at pulau singa besar
12.00pm - mandi laut huhu kat pulau beras basah laks.. tengahari buta
2.00pm - balik sampai jetty, terus balik hotel, sambung lagi mandi swimming pool kat hotel plak.. haha
4.30pm - keluar balik pegi pantai cenang, survey chocolate murah2.. terjumpa lak chia ngn family dia
6.30pm - layan sunset kat pantai cenang, dinner skali
Isnin 12 mac
Last day before balik.. huhu. kitorang takde plan sangat.. bangun2 konon nak pegi mahsuri tapi kene bayar.. malas la.. walaupon berapa RM jek..
pastu pusing2 area situ.. takde ape yg best.. balik hotel, packing.. ingat nak lepak tanjung rhu jap before beli coklat kat pekan Kuah
11.00am - checkout tok senik resort.. babaii.. nice place...
12.00pm - Sampai Tanjng Rhu beach.. saje survey2 last before balik. Skali dapat plak deal murah.. Island hopping satu boat rm150 jek.. ape lagas kitorang terus tukar baju n sambung berpoya2 lagi.. Destinasi Island hopping kali ni : Eagle feeding, mangrove, Gua Kelawar, Lunch @ restoran terapung, mandi2 kat pantai ape tah.. kitorang berdua je kat situ.. huhu..
3.00pm - Sampai jetty, mandi2.. terus g Pekan Kuah
3.30pm - Aiyakk minyak abis lagi skali kete mati.. tapi this time nasib baik kat luar stesen minyak
4.00pm - Sampai Pekan Kuah, borong Ferrero Rocher ngn Hersheys untuk majlis sanding.. puas ati, penuh 2 rucksack
5.00pm - Pulang kete sewa and org tu antarkan g Airport
6.30pm - Check in, makan..
8.00pm - Balik KL.. huhu tamatlah sudah sesi honeymoon. pasni g tpt lain lak..

First honeymoon trip lepas nikah. Nikah 3 mac, esoknya 4 mac terus gerak ke Cameron Highlands.. huhu.. plan nak naik berembun-perdah-jasar, tapi bile dah turun jasar, malas lak.. padehal baru kol 2pm sempat nak kejar berembun lagi.. hehe tapi jalan2 dating lagi best..
